CFGALLA Ally Guide

The CFGALLA Ally Guide is here for the use of members of the public, business owners, non-profit directors, and organizations to improve their internal anti-discrimination policies. The Ally Guide aims to instruct organizations and businesses on how to grow and expand their operations by fostering an environment of diversity and inclusivity. The guide touches on various aspects including, without limitation: LGBTQ+ communication in the workplace, transgender issues, inclusive healthcare policies, and more.

Orlando Youth Alliance

The mission of the Orlando Youth Alliance is to provide a non-exploitative, safe, drug and alcohol free, social outlet for youth ages 13 to 24 who are grappling with gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and questioning issues. It serves as an educational and referral service for GLBTQ youth of Central Florida. It strives to educate parents, academia, health care workers and other human service professionals about the development and diversity of sexuality and sensitize them to the reality and needs of the GLBTQ community. And finally, it facilitates the development and empowerment of GLBTQ youth.

Zebra Coalition

Its mission is to foster hope, dignity and self-respect in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and all youth (LGBT+) and to provide them an opportunity to grow up in a safe, healthy and supportive environment.

Hope and Help Center of Central Florida

The Hope and Help Center strives to inspire, equip and mobilize people to take action against HIV/AIDS.

Equality Florida

Equality Florida consists of two organizations—Equality Florida Institute, Inc., a 501(c)(3) educational charity and Equality Florida Action, Inc., and their 501(c)(4) advocacy organization. Together, these organizations form the largest civil rights organization dedicated to securing full equality for Florida’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. Through education, grassroots organizing, coalition building, and lobbying, they are changing Florida so that no one suffers harassment or discrimination on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Human Rights Campaign

The Human Rights Campaign represents a force of more than 1.5 million members and supporters nationwide. As the largest national lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer civil rights organization, HRC envisions a world where LGBTQ people are ensured of their basic equal rights, and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.

MBA Orlando

MBA Orlando is Central Florida’s LGBT Chamber of Commerce dedicated to the pursuit of equality through economics.

Matthew Shepard Foundation

The Matthew Shepard Foundation’s longstanding mission is to erase hate by replacing it with understanding, compassion and acceptance.

The Center

The Center promotes the well-being of the Central Florida Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender communities. It looks to serve as a sanctuary for all LGBTQ people. It provides programs and services that empower, educate, and entertain the LGBTQ community, and strengthen the intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being of LGBTQ people through these programs and services.

National Center for Lesbian Rights

NCLR is a non-profit, public interest law firm that litigates precedent-setting cases at the trial and appellate court levels; advocates for equitable public policies affecting the LGBT community; provides free legal assistance to LGBT people and their legal advocates; and conducts community education on LGBT issues.

Immigration Equality

Immigration Equality is the nation’s leading LBGTQ immigrant rights organization. It represents  and advocates for people from around the world fleeing violence, abuse, and persecution because of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or HIV status.

Transgender Law and Policy Institute

A non-profit organization dedicated to engaging in effective advocacy for transgender people in our society. The TLPI brings experts and advocates together to work on law and policy initiatives designed to advance transgender equality.
